Hey everyone! As a huge Elden Ring fan, I'm super excited to share the latest news about the upcoming official art books from KADOKAWA. They've just announced that we'll be getting not one, but TWO massive art books titled "Elden Ring Official Art Book Volume I" and "Elden Ring Official Art Book Volume II"!

What's really cool is that these were originally planned as a single book, but the developers decided to split them into two volumes because there's just SO MUCH incredible artwork to showcase from the game. Each volume will be sold separately for ¥4,400 (about $31.40), but there's also a special bundle option for the true collectors out there!
Let me break down what each volume contains:
Volume I includes:
-
Art from the epic opening cutscene 🎬
-
Concept art of the breathtaking fields and dungeons 🏰
-
Character designs and armor concepts ⚔️
Volume II features:
-
Art of all the terrifying enemies and bosses we've fought
-
Illustrations of weapons and items we've collected throughout our journey ️
For the ultimate collectors, there's a special ebtenDX package that includes both art books PLUS a high-definition frame art of Godfrey! This limited edition bundle costs ¥17,600 ($125.61) and will only be available in limited quantities exclusively on Ebten.jp.
Here are some key specifications that got me really excited:
-
Each volume contains 400 pages of high-quality art 📖
-
Uses "CharaFine" printing technology for exceptional quality ✨
-
Printed on special paper developed for preserving cultural treasures 🎨
-
The Godfrey frame art measures approximately 440 x 354 mm 🖼️
-
Illustration dimensions are A4 size (287 x 202 mm)
What's really impressive is the attention to quality - they're using the same kind of paper that's typically reserved for preserving national treasures and important cultural artifacts. That shows how much care they're putting into making these art books truly special!
The three-sided collector's box that comes with the DX package is actually a free bonus from Ebten and isn't included in the bundle price. It's designed specifically to hold both art volumes together, making it perfect for display.
One important thing to note - these will be physical editions only, and there's no word about digital versions coming anytime soon. So if you're like me and love having physical art books on your shelf, you'll want to grab these when they become available.
As a Tarnished who's spent countless hours exploring the Lands Between, I can't wait to get my hands on these art books. Seeing the concept art and development materials behind one of my favorite games of all time is going to be an incredible experience. The attention to detail in Elden Ring's world-building was phenomenal, and these art books promise to give us an even deeper appreciation for the creative process behind the game.
Given that Hidetaka Miyazaki has mentioned plans to expand the Elden Ring IP beyond the current game, these art books might also give us some hints about what's to come in the future! 🤔
For those interested in similar collections, KADOKAWA has published amazing art books and strategy guides for other great games like Persona 5 The Royal, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim.
Elden Ring is currently available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Whether you're a seasoned veteran who's beaten every boss or someone who's just starting their journey through the Lands Between, these art books look like they'll be an essential addition to any Elden Ring fan's collection!
What do you guys think? Which volume are you more excited about? Personally, I can't wait to see all the enemy designs in Volume II - some of those boss creatures were absolutely terrifying but beautifully designed! Let me know in the comments which aspects of Elden Ring's art you're most looking forward to seeing in these books! 👇
